Evelina N. Pierce, MD, FAAD

Dr. Pierce received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for being in the top of her class. She then stayed at UAB to complete her dermatology residency, training in pediatric and complex medical adult dermatology, laser and cosmetic procedures, as well as dermatologic surgery.

During medical school and residency Dr. Pierce was a reserve member of the United States Air Force. She entered active duty after residency, and was stationed in Biloxi, MS, where she provided comprehensive dermatological care to active duty Air Force members, their families and veteran community. Dr. Pierce is now a veteran of the US Air Force.

Her clinical interests include treatment of skin cancers, hair loss disorders, acne and rosacea. Dr. Pierce has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and presented at dermatological conferences on a variety of topics.

She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (board certified dermatologist). She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and American Medical Association.

In her free time, Dr. Pierce enjoys playing the piano and spending time with family. She is also fluent in Russian.
